1011 – SIMPLE CYCLE ESTIMATED PERFORMANCE

1 x PG6561B CONFIGURATION

This performance statement applies specifically to the scope of equipment supplied under the terms of this Contract.  Since the Contract scope of supply is limited to a gas turbine unit only, the statement has been amended to reflect the ISO rating of the unit at the load coupling flange (i.e. no allowance has been made for load gear or generator losses).

1. The performance of the plant is estimated as follows:

? Base Load Output (mechanical) : 40,950 kWm

? Base Load Heat Rate (mechanical) :10,930 kJ/kWh

2. These estimated figures will be obtained when the following operating/ambient conditions apply:

 (i) Gas Turbine Unit : Frame PG6561

 (ii) Ambient Temperature : 15°C

 (iii) Atmospheric Pressure : 1.013 bar (A)

 (iv) Humidity : 60%

 (v) Fuel : Fuel gas 50,031 kJ/kg LHV
  In accordance with GEI 41040F

(vi) NOx control : Standard combustion, unabated NOx

 (vii) Inlet Pressure Drop : 100 mmH20
Exhaust Pressure Drop : 65 mmH20

(viii) Power Factor : 0.80 pf

(ix) The estimated output will be applicable at the gas turbine load coupling flange.

3. This estimated Performance is subject to the following:

 (i) All figures for the performance are bona fide estimates.

(ii) Each test to establish the estimated figures shall be made when

a) The gas turbine is new, clean and in proper working condition

b) The fuel has an acceptable quality as specified above

c) The Contractor is witness to the test.

(iii) The tests, procedure and method of measurement (including margins to cover errors on observation and measurement to establish the performance shall be agreed before commencement of the tests and shall be based on the recommendations of ASME PTC22 “Performance Test Code – Gas Turbine Power Plant”, 1985 Edition.

(iv) Method of measurement of ambient air temperature and ambient pressure shall be agreed.

 (v) All performance tests shall unless otherwise agreed, be carried out immediately following the date that the equipment is ready for such tests.

(vi) If the equipment fails to achieve the estimated figures by a significant margin, the Contractor shall be given every facility at the earliest opportunity to determine the source of the failure.  If such failure lies within the Contractor’s responsibility, the Contractor shall use its best endeavors to undertake remedial action.
